How to use a small business owner email list to increase your sales

How to use a small business owner email list to increase your sales

a small business owner email list

I’m always surprised by how many people are intimidated by the idea of selling something with emails. They seem to think they can’t sell with a small business owner email list.

The truth is: If you’re selling something great, you don’t need a huge list to make sales.

Just a couple of things you might want to know:

The Email marketing ROI is $36 for $1 spent.

The total number of business and consumer emails sent and received per day exceeds 306 billion and is forecast to grow to over 361 billion by year-end 2024.

Email Marketing drives more sales than social media marketing. For example, 60% of customers say they have purchased something because of the marketing email they received vs. 12.5% who bought it due to the social media campaigns.

Email Marketing grows your business. Eighty percent of professionals said that email marketing helps them with customer acquisition and retention.

Email Marketing helps you reach customers faster.

21% of the sent emails are opened in the first hour of delivery

Email Marketing Segmentation helps Marketers who use segmented campaigns to get a 760% increase in revenue.

Nowadays, Businesses are investing rather in email marketing than in other channels.

So the bottom line is this: If you’re selling something great, you don’t need a huge list to make sales. Instead, a small business owner email list of highly-engaged subscribers will do the trick if the offer is compelling enough.

Of course, the bigger your list, the more sales you’ll make. But, if you’re just starting, don’t let the size of your list intimidate you. Instead, just focus on building a quality list of engaged subscribers. Then, watch your sales skyrocket.

The importance of building a quality list of engaged subscribers

I’ve often talked about the importance of list-building and believe it’s the single most effective way to grow your business. A relationship with subscribers is like a relationship with anyone else in your life: it takes time to build and cultivate, and you can’t expect instantaneous results.

At the same time, people tend to treat relationships like a game — something you can win or lose without actually putting in any real effort. Building a quality list of engaged subscribers cannot be understated. Companies must focus on developing a real, human connection with their audience to succeed in the long term.

Here are a few things to remember when building your list:

1. It’s not about the numbers. It’s about the quality of the people on your list. Like in any relationship, it’s more important to have a few engaged, interested people than a large group of people who barely know you exist. Building a quality list of engaged subscribers is essential to the long-term success of any business. You’ll set yourself up for success far beyond the numbers game by developing real relationships with your audience.

2. It takes time to build a quality list. Trust and mutual interest don’t happen overnight. You need to put in the work, consistently show up, and be patient.

3. You need to give to get. In any relationship, you need to be generous and give of your time, energy, or resources if you want to receive anything back. The same is true of your relationship with your list. Show them that you care about them and their interests, and they’ll be more likely to listen to what you have to say.

4. You have to put in the work.

5. Technology should be a means to an end, not an end itself. So, Technology can be a great tool for building those relationships, but it’s not a replacement for actually interacting with people.

If you keep these things in mind, you’ll be well on your way to building a quality list of engaged subscribers that will help you grow your business for years to come.

Increase the sales with your small business owner email list using segmentation

Sending targeted emails based on segmentation can increase click-through rates instead of sending the same content to your entire email subscriber list.

So, to get more sales from your small business owner email list, you need to segment it.

That is why I use Aweber. It allows me to create many lists and segment every list according to various criteria.

Mailing list segmentation divides your subscribers into smaller groups based on certain criteria so that you can send them more personalized and relevant emails.

For example, when you promote a new product/service to your subscribers, you will need three email campaigns (one for the new subscribers, one for the existing subscribers, and one for existing buyers.)

To understand this, I will show you the first email for every segment of my list for the Sales Funnel Revenue Secret Course.

So here is the course,

Did you see the difference between these emails?

All of them is the first email of the launch campaign

But every email is tailored to the specific target audience

Do you understand now why I don’t use an unprofessional autoresponder?

If you send the same email to the whole list chances of getting more sales are low

You will get more responses and sales if you send tailored emails to every segment.

If you apply the segmentation in your email campaigns, you will make more sales even if you have a small list.

Do you need help with stressful deadlines connected with copywriting services and marketing strategy tips
